hahahaha the FUNNIEST and most AMAZING thing just happened to me.
was all set to head to the new york state department of motor vehicles to apply and schedule for a written driving test, so took a cab with manjela and darshini down to pittsford town hall.
got there, and realised we HAVE TO take the test right after we register. see, i thought it was such that we register, then schedule a date for the written test and come back for it again. BUT, it turned out to be an apply, take the test, retake it again and again until you pass it, all in the same day. so, was contemplating whether or not to take it since i had no idea what the questions were going to be like, or any knowledge on signs and rules on the damned road !
worst still, since the other two of them forgot to bring their I-20 (it's a visa document) along, they couldn't register. so there i was left making up a decision all alone. in the end, made up my mind to go for it, since passing it was a DEFINITE - for people who've at least read through the manual (according to the locals here whom i've asked) and i could retake it a billion times till i passed. hahah
got the test paper, did it, guessed my way through 50% of the time until the Road Signs section, that was a breeze. then .... submitted my paper to the guy. he marked it, passing grade was fourteen out of 20 questions. screwed up four questions on the first page itself, was already prepared to retake it. but but but, only had one error on the second page ! hahah so there, got a FIFTEEN over twenty ! the guy was like "wow ! you passed !" hahaha (before taking the test, he asked if i've read through the manual and practised online questions, and i totally shook my head. hahah and he just had to give me that are-you-sure-you-want-to-take-the-test look !!! grrrr ..)
wheeeeee ! so i've got my learner's permit ! can finally call Morgan School of Driving to set up driving lesson times ! this is sooooo exciting ! :D
oh, went to niagara and SHOPPPPPPPPED till i almost dropped last saturday. will upload pictures soon !
gotta mug for my CONFUCIANISM and TAOISM and BUDDHISM test for tomorrow ..
i'm a happy girl, in a happy world .. ! i actually passed my driving theory test !!! whoooohooo ! HAHA
