i feel like i've been alive for 1234567890days since monday and it's only WEDNESDAY. gooodness gracious, this is taking extremeeeeeely looooooong i'm like never going home ! hurr.
anyhows, marketing final tmr. religious studies (mainly on ISLAM) on friday ! yadah yadah yadah ..
religious studies prof gave us the essays to the final:
essay #1.
Identify yourself as an insider to one particular religious tradition. Now, reflect upon what thoughtful, well-informed persons of your tradition might gain from other religions studied during this semester. Organizing this taks with the characteristics of religion, explain how the insights of different religions about these characteristics might affect the belieg and practice of persons of your own tradition.
essay #2.
Humans are self-transcendent beings for whom it is quite natural to ponder "existential questions", especially when we experience suffering, evil, death, and dissastisfaction with life. Sketch your own way of describing the basic human problems and solutions to this problem. state, the ultimate goal(s) humans can hope for, and the activities or way of life one should follow in order to move toward that goal(s). along the way, demonstrate your religious literacy and synthesis of course material by drawing from the insights provided by a variety of religious traditions.
