Time in Los Angeles: 11:42 PM
and the summer break has come to an end, for swei, valen, wting and minqi at least. haha i still have about a month and some more (other than sitting home appreciating music for summer class).
tuesday was ramen and shopping with wayne and sam before the two flew back to sunny tropical island, oh singapura. great food, awesome shopping ! hunt for krispy kreme for sam almost killed our butts, was in minqi's car and caught in 1234567890 jams for almost 2hours. JJ with valen, minki and swei for dinner. valen and i each drank 5-6cups of iced lemon tea, making each cup only USD50cents, haha. all that value for good iced tea. way back home was horrendous with the both of us making sure our bladders didn't give way, what more, we were on the freeway, no way we could pull over to let it all go among the bushes along the road.
wednesday was spent at disneyland with the girls. i loooovvveeeee disney ! the parade was fantabulous, i'm so totally motivated to be a performer at disneyland ! (oh geeeez, but i missed the auditions today)
thursday, snored my way till 430pm. got up, jumped into my business suit and left for west hollywood for the CalCPA scholarship installment dinner. met many many many professionals there, it's really amazing how many people have actually chosen the accounting field and how successful they all are, or at least seem to be. the California CPA (certified public accountants) society have really neat people ! they're all the ultimate sweethearts, really caring and stuff. felt a little outta place at first cos everyone was so matured and professional and me, a teeny weeny itsy bitsy sophomore of SMC (HA !). there were like humongous CEOs, CFOs, Partners, Presidents and whatnot. dinner was of moroccon style, had everything with our hands, no utensils, just a towel to clean off the mess. nonetheless, got acquainted with people around, started conversations and everyone became really awesome. i think i'm starting to kinda like the accounting world out there, :D !
to shuwei's after that for the night.
friday was for catching the Lake House. was not all that great but really fuzzy-feeling kinda movie. shopped around third street and met candice over at swei's in the evening. dinner was ordered-in-thai-fresh, over the Pink Panther Movie.
to venice/santa monica beach with minki today. we tanned for a little while, sun cheated on us so we left. shuwei made her way down on LEGS (she jogged for 45minutes from her house) and we saw dolphins in the sea, really close to the shore ! those lovely things, we thought they were warning us of an oncoming tsunami or something at first, HAHA. to montery park after sunset, 99ranch groceries shopping and a little car ride down the freeway, back home after that.
my house is currently EMPTY. vivian's moved out and left for taiwan a few days back :( i miss seeing her room lights on and sharing food and stuff. marsha had her super-charming boyfriend over to help clean up her room just yesterday, and she's gone already too. nancy left for korea almost a week ago and stephy's moved to her friend's a few weeks back. SIGH .. i miss my housemates. :(((((((((
alrighty, it's father's day and i'm still in the process of completing something special i've made for my daddy. back to work before the 18th of june goes by in singapore ! (:

our very own excursion to the Walt Disney Land at Anaheim California today ! that place is so rapturous and filled with bliss ! all troubles vanish and the world just becomes a perfect dreamy paradise. magic, love, princesses, little towns and whatnot.
i love disney land, i absolutely do.
now i know i have to reconsider my decision to reject the internship offer, there's no way i'm giving such an opportunity a miss. but again, the drive down is really one big hassle ..
geeeez, whatever, to bed.

A-H-H-H-H-H !!!
today was just a totally WHOARRR day ! :D absolutely loved it !
HAPPY GAY PRIDE everyone ! may gay marriages become legal, at least here in LA, someday. singapore's herstory.ws is progressing well, i see it coming someday. haha
anyhows, woke up bright and early at 930am (a record for me on a weekend) ! valen picked me up and we headed to shuwei's ! got into her Mr Golf where the three of us made our way down to the most happening West Hollywood !
okay, the LA Pride was going on there so we spent twenty bucks for a most eye-opening experience ! saw bundles and bundles of gay couples, sweet as can be, some even with their kids and, sounds queer but, many had twins !
roamed around in the car till we finally found a parking spot, then off we went to the colourful world of the GAY PRIDE !
got lotsa ling-ling-long-longs and whatnot, even a polaroid photo with this gnome (valen has it, ask her if you wna see it). no Lword booth though .. but nonetheless, was really neat seeing so many people being so open about their sexual orientation and even speaking out/up for themselves. the most ooozy-wooozy feelings were for the little kids in prams pushed by either two men or two women.
and the shirts read "i love my MOMMIES" "i love my DADDIES" "targay" (target) "The Homo Depot" (The Home Depot) "Dykea" (Ikea) and so on .. haha a really cute one, "i'm not gay, but my boyfriend is" ..
and we concluded that:
1. there are more Gays than Lesbians
2. Gay guys are hot to the core (80% of them were topless, though some had their stomachs spilling all over, most had tight & toned six packs)
met homophobic minqi after that for lunch at tofu-ya ! was not bad, almost scrumptious i'd say.
home after that, i still have my LAST FINAL tomorrow. dratssss .. :(
back to the books.
